A Mermaid’s Lair
by Suzette Bohne’ Sommers
My desire for you is as deep as a mermaid’s lair
Where I have you bound and enslaved
I wear myself out rushing to the surface to gulp the air you need to survive
And I dive back down to breathe it into your impatient longing lungs
Our love-making takes me to the depths of my soul-craving
Then back up for a deep breath
And another dive deep to find you again
I tell you stories of the secrets of my lust with men who walk on the surface, earth-bound
Hovering between two opposing plains, we feast on each other
